We’ve taken these gourmet jelly shots to a few parties and our friends just love to eat these treats. Adapted this recipe from the Jelly Shot Test Kitchen Blog.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup water
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
1/2 cup condensed milk
3/4 cup homemade eggnog
1/2 cup dark rum, whipped rum or whipped vodka
Whipped cream (optional)
Fresh ground nutmeg (optional)
Cinnamon Stick (optional)
Instructions:
If you plan to use molds, cups or souffle cups be sure to lightly grease the cups with a non-stick cooking spray, recommend doing this before you start cooking. Place your cups on a baking sheet.
Start by adding your water to a small pot, then add the gelatin. Let the gelatin soak for 1-2 minutes. Cook over low heat and stir constantly for about 3-4 minutes or until the gelatin has dissolved. Take the gelatin off the heat and stir in the condensed milk.
In a glass bowl or measuring cup add your eggnog and brandy, stir quickly. Now add the condensed milk liquid to the eggnog and stir again.
Start pouring the eggnog gelatin liquid in the cups. Place in the refrigerator for several hours until the gelatin sets.
Garnish with whipped cream, fresh ground nutmeg and a cinnamon stick
