Ancient Grains for Modern Meals – Cookbook Giveaway

Want to WIN a Copy of ‘Ancient Grains for Modern Meals written by Maria Speck’?

If you have followed healthy eating by now, you probably know that whole grains are one of the best things you can eat. If you are intimidated by the sheer variety of grains, or how to cook them, or what kind of meals they work well in, then ‘Ancient Grains for Modern Meals’ by Maria Speck, will be your new best friend.

The author who has both a Mediterranean and a German background makes this disclaimer in the introduction of her book:

‘This book is not a whole grain bible, or the definitive guide to the grains of this planet. It is, rather, a personal selection of the whole grains I like to eat, inspired by the flavors and ingredients on which I was raised.’

When you see the savory flavor combinations in dishes such as the Olive Bread with Bacon and Thyme or the Bulgur Lentil Soup with Minted Olive Oil Butter, you will wish you were raised the same way. There are many different grains, and tips on buying, cooking and storing. You’ll never look at whole grains the same way.

For this week’s giveaway, one lucky reader will snag a copy of this book to begin (or continue) their very own whole grain journey, courtesy of Creative Cooking Corner. You should note, I purchased this book myself for the giveaway; neither the publisher nor the author is involved in this giveaway.

We’re giving all kinds of fun and delicious cookbooks away until the end of the year, so be sure to come back for your chance to win again!
